ABOUT US

Who are we?

EPAS stands for Engineering Physics Alumni and Students, an association created specifically for the students and alumni of the Engineering Physics program at Politecnico di Milano. Our primary objective is to cater to the needs and interests of this community, providing a platform for collaboration, networking, and support.

ABOUT US

What is our Vision?

EPAS was founded with the objective of bringing present and future physics engineers together and bridging the gap between the world of academia and industry. We envision a bustling community of students, alumni, professors and company representatives.

What is our Mission?

We strive to build a platform for students to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences, creating a supportive environment for academic and personal growth.
To advise newcomers on the way of the physics engineer, introducing them to more experienced people that can guide them in their journey here at Politecnico di Milano.
To establish connections with industry professionals, research institutes, and alumni to create a connection between academia and the real world.

What do we offer?

  • To fulfill our vision we offer to our members seminars, workshops, and conferences that shed light on interesting yet perhaps obscure topics, like quantum technologies, machine learning, applications and challenges of superconductors, or the latest Nobel prize discovery… In short, the fun and interesting parts of what may only be mentioned once during courses, with focus on the real world applications.
  • We also organize get togethers and parties where you can meet your mates, make new friends, meet people from different backgrounds and peer into what your future could be. But most importantly, have fun.
  • Our members also have the chance to engage in events with industry-related companies. Did you find an intervention in a conference held by one of our guests particularly interesting? Do you want to know more about them or their company? Don’t hesitate to ask! You will have a shot at a great first impression.
  • In addition to our extensive range of exclusive events for members, we also offer technical courses, first of all programming ones, because although they are often not included into the curriculum of Politecnico, we believe they represent one of the most valuable and versatile skills for a student in the later years of university and beyond, especially when working in a laboratory.
